So, where were we?
Right, charity ball with sister and Oliver, telekinetic prick and me about to do something very, very stupid. (What’s new?)
I managed to sneak away from Oliver and my sister while they were dancing and I followed prick face to a storage room at the back of the building. The mystery woman and he were having a conversation. I couldn’t hear much (No way was I going to try and get closer, invisible or not) but I did manage to make out snippets of the conversation.
I heard them mentioned one of their men that had been captured, (Go Michael and William!) Daniel wanted to change the time of the test, (?) she said no, which seemed to piss Daniel off no end (haha). There were hushed whispers (sounded like an argument) I heard her say, “Eli will do what I tell him to do!” They whispered some more and then started kissing (ugh!) all I could think was “Please don’t have sex in front of me.” (I do not want to hear that!)
Luckily they didn’t.
As they left I kept myself invisible until I heard the doors close. I looked around and walked towards the hallway. From nowhere, I felt myself pulled into a small nook and shoved hard against the wall. Face to face with Daniel. “Now this was very foolish Friday. Even for you.”
I was pretty sure I was going to die.
“Didn’t anyone ever tell you it’s rude to eaves…”
I can’t believe I did it but it happened so I must have.
I kneed him right in his…well you get the idea. He crumpled, I ran. I got out into the hallway and was invisible again. Holding the walls to find my way out I heard the door burst open. He sounded mad. “Haven’t we played this game before Friday?” I came across something on the wall; I could feel a little box and I knew immediately what it was, so without thinking I pulled the fire alarm.
A deafening screeching alarm so loud I had to cover my ears and then the sprinklers came on. (Ruining my bloody dress, which is dry clean only!) Then I heard a voice shouting over the noise, it sounded very close. “I see you.” (Note to self: When invisible don’t go out in the rain.) I appeared again to the sight of Daniel right in front of me (nearly peed myself) looking every inch the smug prick he is, even soaking.
(Ok this seems like as good a place as any to leave it. Sorry but it’s late and I haven’t eaten since lunch. So I guess Dun Dun Dun!)
