Success!!

Woo Hoo!!

Today is a good day. Am filled with Christmas spirit. Not only did I actually manage to get some shopping done (I have a couch being delivered at the weekend) not only is the office Christmas party coming up (I got a new dress) Not only am I having a particularly good hair day (am feeling hawt!) and not only do I sit here with a large cup of hot chocolate and a cookie the size of my head…

I also took an active part in today’s mission which was a complete success. (Feels like dancing.)

I was on “comms” for the mission which is kind of like being in the strangest call centre imaginable.

The team intercepted the package Eli’s people were moving. It was a large canister of what is believed now to be either a bio-weapon or whatever Eli is using to control peoples minds. They didn’t manage to apprehend any of the hostile agents but they came pretty close.

They pursued one of the bad guys (the man from our security footage of the break in at our facility) and after chasing him through a large warehouse they cornered him in a small room. From what I heard it seems that he managed to escape from a room with no windows and only one door. George (who was guarding the door) then got into a shouting match with Michael about how he wasn’t to blame.

One of the things about listening in to a mission, it gives you a real insight into a few things, first, how great these guys are at their jobs and second, how much bloody bickering goes on.

Katie then walked in on the two men verbally abusing each other and it turned into a full scale argument over anything and everything you care to mention. I think they forgot they were transmitting cause when I interrupted with their extraction details they all went very quiet for a while before answering.

So the canister will arrive tomorrow for analysis and Stanley will get a chance to poke at it before the chemical weapons expert arrives to do a full evaluation. This is going to be adorable because she and Stanley happen to have the biggest crush on each other and watching the two of them do their version of flirting is the cutest thing in the world.
