Had a weird moment today, not sure what to make of it.
I was in Daniel's office with a bunch of files which I promptly dropped all over the floor. (That’s not the weird part, I often drop things.) I went to pick them up but he beat me to it, grabbing them and dumping them on his desk. (This was odd but not the weird part.) He started pulling together some other stuff for me to take away saying “I told you I’m not as bad as you think. I can be pleasant, even friendly.”
I didn’t even think before I said. “Okay then what’s my first name?” which I think I may have said with a little too much venom cause he stopped what he was doing. He didn’t look up he just stopped for a second. In that second I had time to remember what his job was before he came here and then think of all the different ways he knows how to kill a man.
He walked over to me with a new stack of papers and broke the awkward silence by looking right at me and saying “I know your name Lee.” At this moment I had a little trouble not peeing myself. (The man is intimidating close up.) Then he stepped closer, smiled and said “Did you ever consider that I just like the face you pull when I call you Friday?”
I had absolutely no idea what to say to that. I just stared at him with my mouth open not saying anything until he handed me the stack and went back to his desk.
What the F**k was that?
Was he flirting with me? It kind of felt like flirting, although thinking about it I don’t actually think anyone has ever flirted with me before so maybe I’m wrong.
Whatever it was it was weird.
