This might take a while.
I don’t just mean that it’s a long story (which it is), there’s also the fact that typing with one hand takes a very, very long time. I forgot to mention, I dislocated my shoulder. (I’ll get to that later) Also am off work for 3 days. (I would dance if I didn’t hurt so much)
So yesterday, I was all excited about my sister's Halloween party, which had a little to do with the fact that I have had a pretty shitty 2 weeks. After I had gotten ready and looked pretty good (if I do say so myself), the phone rang and it was my work informing me that I had to get in immediately. I then enquired if I could have a moment to change; the response was, in short, NO!
It wasn’t as bad as I had imagined, which was me surrounded by important and impressive people wearing a star trek costume. Instead almost everyone was still in their costumes. Stanley was a pretty impressive Iron Man (I’m serious I think the thing actually had rockets) and Michael was Superman (sigh), even Director Moore was wearing what I can only assume was an attempt at a Dracula costume.
There was a problem with the archive section. (Which is a huge sprawling space underneath us, filled with boxes upon boxes of files.) The motion sensors were detecting movement down there (spooky) and there are only so many people with the clearance to be in there which is why we were called in. (I guess I was just born lucky.) We had to search the entire section to see if:
1. There was an intruder/ghost/monster. (I added the last 2)
2. The motion sensors were broken. (Fingers crossed for ghost personally)
When Director Moore was putting us into pairs I was trying my best to will the words Michael and Lee to come out of his mouth. Beaming the words into his brain with mine, I could feel it working. I was delusional of course. The words that actually came out were “Misssss Sarah, you can go with Sssssspecialist Adler. (That would be Daniel.) Bugger.
So I was going to be wandering around a creepy old archive section, filled with dust and cobwebs, on Halloween, with a guy that could probably kill me with an ear hair. (Ewww horrible mental image.)
This was going to be brilliant…no wait, I mean to say horrifying.
That’s all I can type for now. My arm is tired and the pain medication is kicking in. (Woohoo)
I guess, To Be Continued….
